Tidbits #5: A Bit of Printer's Devilry

  Long time no see! I said I'd release a different sort of puzzle after every 7th cryptic, and I was struggling for a while trying to think of what to do. But then I discovered the Printer's Devilry grid, thanks to  Jack Keynes  and  TeamCrazyMatt , and my problem was solved. They're a lot of fun to do, as well as bloody difficult (for me). The clues in this one are far from world-class, but they all work, I think. Hopefully I'll have another grid out in less than two weeks, before my 2nd anniversary... but we'll see, as the first week back at school has been INTENSE.
