Cryptic #27: Shut Up, The Both Of You

My Twenty-Seventh Crossword Hello everyone.  It's been a while. Blame the maths department for that. Here's a grid that was tested a while ago - unfortunately, I've lost the sheet of paper on which I wrote down the complaints, so please, PLEASE send them my way. Anyway, this theme is another of the ones seen in #3 and #18. I love doing this type of grid - the choices for surfaces are absolutely limitless. Thanks to Mental Playground, Jack Keynes, Agnijo Banerjee, Liari and TeamCrazyMatt for test-solving. Have fun! - GAIS, 28/11/21

Cryptic #26: What Are The Odds?

My Twenty-Sixth Crossword Hello! Not much to say about this crossword, except that I think it's quite enjoyable. Sorry in advance for a few things. Thanks to Jack Keynes for test-solving. Have fun! - GAIS, 22/10/21

Cryptic #25: These Cities Six

My Twenty-Fifth Crossword IT'S MY FIRST CROSSWORD ANNIVERSARY! To celebrate, here's a grid I've been sitting on for a while. Thank you, everyone, ever so much for all the solves. It means so much to me that what I've created is (hopefully) enriching others' lives. That's one thing I love about setting - aside from all the wordplay involved, you get to create something special and unique, to share with the world. Much like most forms of art. Thanks to Jack Keynes for test-solving. Have fun! - GAIS, 26/09/21 P.S. I'd like to thank every setter I know for inspiring me. I'll attempt naming them all here. Agnijo, Enterta, Liari, Angel, TeamCrazyMatt, The Void, Skirwingle, Conto, Raider, Quince, Steve Mossberg, ScottHasFun, Liam Runnalls, Michael X, Avid, David Astle, Eccles, BlueJay, Elgel, Elwood, Chameleon, Picaroon, Danny Vibes, LowDown Letterbanks, Panthera, Nordloc, Phyphor, Laguna, Somsram, JimJar, BrknFixie, ChocChip, NoFeetMcGee, Navy. The list goes...

Cryptic #24: A Fly in the Alphabet Soup

My Twenty-Fourth Crossword Hello everyone. It's been a while. Tomorrow marks the first anniversary of my publishing a cryptic crossword (though not if you look at the dates on this blog. Timezones, anyone?). Yay. This one is another alphabet cryptic, made in 18 hours, after a week of agony trying to grid another alphabet cryptic with a monstrous theme. Thanks to Jack Keynes for test-solving. Maths is fascinating. And scary. Have fun!  - GAIS, 25/09/21

Cryptic #23: Lozenges in the Sky

My Twenty-Third Crossword Hello all.  Here's a crossword written for one of my closest friends, who turns 17 today and is moving to the United States quite soon. I have been helping him get into crosswords, and he is even making his own currently, so stay tuned. Thanks to Jack Keynes for test-solving. The grammar, I hope, is slightly stricter than usual, without compromising the fun of the clues. (To the aforementioned friend:) "10-across 12-across 26-across. I will miss you greatly - and I know Ms. 1-across will too. Sadly, there is no PTA to get 5-down 24-down, or CJT to call you 28-across, from all the way across the 8-down.  So good luck in 1-down, 20-across, 25-down, and goodbye." Have fun! - GAIS, 27/08/21

Cryptic #22: Strawberry Jam

My Twenty-Second Crossword Hello everyone. Happy birthday Jamie! Here's a crossword with a rather naff, but necessary, grid shape. Thanks to Jack Keynes for test-solving. Have fun! - GAIS, 30/07/21

Tidbits: Sensation of Elation (Novelty Puzzle)

Image
Hello. As 21 is a multiple of 7, here's something different. Here is a puzzle that I wrote some time ago, and properly formatted this week, including a further bit of puzzling to do. Let's hope this is solvable. Here's an image version: Alternatively, solve this directly on the spreadsheet: let's hope  this  works. Feel free to DM your answers to me on Twitter (@GA_ImSleeping) and tell me how you get on. See you Friday. Have fun! - GAIS, 25/07/21
